Bile acids are an important test for monitoring normal liver function. Bile acid is metabolized in the liver and is present in increased concentrations with abnormal liver function. This assay can be used to measure bile acid concentrations in hamster serum and EDTA plasma.
The assay uses a similar methodology to our previous kit which has been well referenced and widely used. This kit improves upon the older kit (Cat #80510):
- Uses less sample
- Contains all liquid reagents
- Uses materials that have a longer stability after opening
